The long anticipated sequel to the action sports classic Livin It was rolled out on a red carpet June 21, 2006, in Los Angeles.
Livin It LA had its world premiere at the historic Lido Theater in Newport Beach, Calif., with a packed house joining the film's performers, director Stephen Baldwin and Executive Producer Kevin Palau for an evening of thrills and outreach both on and off the screen.
By mid afternoon, a crowd had already gathered for a sneak peak at Baldwin's new "Lord's Lounge", a customized truck that the actor is driving cross country in support of Livin It LA and his new Livin It line of books and graphic novels. Skateboard superstars featured in the film, including Josh Kasper, Anthony Carney, Richard Mulder, Elijah Moore, and the legendary Christian Hosoi, joined the party and signed autographs for fans throughout the night.
"This was an amazing evening," said Executive Producer Kevin Palau. "To have a totally packed theater, with everyone from kids to grandparents enjoying what we believe is a world-class action sports film with a clear Gospel message, was everything we'd prayed for and dreamed of."
At the close of the screening, skateboard professional and pastor Jay Haizlip took the stage with an invitation to make a decision for Christ. Several dozen people came forward, with many others standing or raising their hands. Each was paired with a trained counselor who guided them in their next steps as new followers of Jesus.

As the Hollywood-style evening wound down, Stephen Baldwin summed up the event and the larger purpose of Livin It LA.
Said the filmmaker, "Kids are going to heaven because of this."
