IS SHE TOO YOUNG TO ASK OUT?
How much of an age difference is too much?  Mike answers.

by Michael Ross

HEY MIKE! I like this girl, but she’s only 13 (I'm 17). Is she too young to ask out? What do you think about going out with girls that young?

—A.B., Hermitage, Tenn.

Yeah, that’s quite an age difference. I do believe that 13 is too young of an age for any kind of serious relatiohship. I know you’re not asking her to marry you. But if you start something more committed while she’s that young, you’re going to have a real tough time keeping on a biblical pace physically.

Here’s what I suggest: If you’re going to ask a girl out, find someone who will challenge you to grow up, not someone who might encourage you to stop growing.  logo
